Overview
Arbonne traces its origins to a Swiss botanical skincare concept developed in 1975 by Norwegian entrepreneur Petter Mørck, and was established as a company in Orem, Utah in 1980, later relocating its headquarters to Irvine, California. Its product line centers on botanically based, vegan-certified skincare, color cosmetics, and nutrition/wellness products, sold exclusively through a network of independent consultants rather than retail stores. The company has changed ownership several times, operating as a subsidiary of Levlad, Inc., then Harvest Partners' Natural Products Group, before a 2010 bankruptcy reorganization placed it under bank and private-equity ownership. Since March 2018, Arbonne has operated as a subsidiary of the French group Groupe Rocher. Arbonne markets internationally through consultants and country-specific sites, including operations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Poland.
