Betterware
Betterware de México is a Mexico-based direct-selling company that markets home-organization, household, and hygiene products through a network of independent distributors, using print catalogs and digital/social selling.
Overview
Betterware de México was established in 1995 and became independent from the original UK-licensed Betterware brand in 2001, later relocating its base of operations to the Guadalajara metropolitan area, with its current corporate campus located in El Arenal, Jalisco (not Zapopan, as some older records show). The company sells home-organization, storage, kitchen, and household-hygiene products through a direct-selling model built on print catalogs supplemented by digital and social-selling tools, relying on a network of independent distributors and associates rather than a traditional retail footprint.\n\nThe company is publicly traded (NYSE: BWMX), having listed first on Nasdaq in 2020 as one of the first Mexican issuers to do so before transferring its listing to the NYSE in June 2024. In 2022 it acquired Jafra, a beauty and cosmetics direct-selling brand, and later adopted \"BeFra\" as a group-level commercial identity covering both the Betterware home-goods business and the Jafra beauty business, while each brand continues to operate under its own name. According to its FY2024 annual report (Form 20-F), the Betterware business alone worked with more than 42,600 distributors and roughly 675,000 associates in Mexico; combined across Betterware and Jafra, the group has cited a network of about 63,000 distributors and 1.13 million associates serving Mexico and the United States.
