Overview

Hegemon Group International operates as a distribution arm for life insurance and related financial products, working through a network of independent affiliated agents rather than employees selling directly. The company was founded and led by Hubert Humphrey, who according to industry press had previously built other insurance-distribution organizations before starting HGI. In May 2022, Integrity Marketing Group announced an agreement to acquire HGI; HGI's founder became a Managing Partner at Integrity, and HGI staff received ownership stakes through Integrity's Employee Ownership Plan. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. At the time of that announcement, HGI was described as having nearly 10,000 licensed agents operating across the United States and Canada, generating over 100 million US dollars in annual life-insurance premium and over 200 million US dollars in annual annuity premium. HGI continues to operate under its own brand (hgicrusade.com) with a public-facing recruitment presence for prospective affiliates, alongside team and contact pages, consistent with its role as an agent-recruitment and marketing organization within Integrity's larger network of insurance distribution companies.
