USANA
USANA Health Sciences is a publicly traded (NYSE: USNA) direct-selling company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, that develops, manufactures, and distributes nutritional supplements, healthy foods, and personal care products through independent Associates and Preferred Customers.
Overview
Founded in September 1992 by microbiologist/immunologist Myron Wentz, USANA develops and manufactures nutritional supplements, meal-replacement and energy products, and personal care items, with the bulk of its nutritional products made at its own facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. The company sells its products exclusively through a direct-selling network of independent Associates (who resell products and can earn commissions) and Preferred Customers (who buy for personal use), rather than through traditional retail. USANA went public in 1996 and now operates in roughly two dozen markets across the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe, with China representing a significant portion of its business through its BabyCare subsidiary. The company is publicly traded on the NYSE under the ticker USNA and reported approximately 925 million US dollars in net sales for fiscal year 2025, with the large majority of sales generated outside the United States. In late 2024, USANA acquired a majority stake in Hiya Health Products, a children's nutrition brand, expanding beyond its traditional direct-selling channel.
